Melvin wins A Scow Nationals

It was a stellar weekend in Madison, Wisconsin for all of the mighty Melges A Scows racing – 15 total of these 38-foot historical beauties. Marked by epic conditions, tight racing and some of the best nightlife around Madison, Lake Mendota did not disappoint. In typical A Scow fashion, the regatta came down to the last race, with Pat Hughes’s Melvin barely edging out the victory over T. Freytag and his MadCap team. Congratulations to Pat Hughes’s Melvin team on their A Scow National Championship title! Alongside Hughes sailed Petey Crawford, Coye Harrett, Harry Melges III, Colin Rowe, Shannon Smith, and Hans Zinn.



Ted Keller wins MC Masters

Powerful performance for North Sails this weekend at the MC Masters National Championship held in Keuka, New York.

The MC Scow racing season is just getting started with some big events coming soon. MC ILYA Invitational at Gull Lake, MN – the WMYA Championship at White Lake, MI – the ILYA Champs at Oshkosh – then the Nationals at Minnetonka, MN.

Erik Bowers wins Melges 14 U.S. Nationals

Camaraderie and competition characterized the event hosted by the Lake Geneva Yacht Club. Eight races were completed over three days in a wide range of wind and wave conditions. Equally important, sailors had daily opportunities to gather and socialize.

Augie Barkow Wins C Scow Nationals

Pewaukee Yacht Club hosted the C Scow National Championship this year. With lots of leaderboard changes throughout the weekend, sailors and spectators were anxious to find out who would come out on top. Augie Barkow’s welcome back into the C Scow fleet is a victorious one! Thanks to Molly Burns for the photo.

Garda Rocks!

The Riva del Garda Melges 24 regatta saw powerful sailing, with boats surfing downwind in gusts of Ora wind at more than 20 knots. The third event of the 2019 Melges 24 European Sailing Series goes to Maidollis ITA854 by Gian Luca Perego with Carlo Fracassoli at the helm and Enrico Fonda in tactics. The Corinthian division sees once again Tõnu Tõniste's Lenny EST790 achieving the success.

Russian Bogatyrs in Full Power at Melges 20 World League Scarlino

The third European event of the Melges 20 World League 2019 comes to an end with the success of Russian Bogatyrs by Igor Rytov on the race course of Club Nautico Scarlino. The Russian team has proven victorious for their second out of three events completed so far in Europe (after the success in Villasimius) and showed up with an absolutely dominant performance in Scarlino.
